All-New Stewart Warner Performance Competition Tachs, Gauges & Accessories

Maxima Technologies, the group enterprise that produces Stewart Warner, Datcon and AST Brand instruments, has introduced an all-new line of Stewart Warner Performance brand competition tachometers, gauges and accessories called the "Maximum Performance Series". The company also announced the formation of the STEWART WARNER PERFORMANCE TEAM to support the needs of the performance market, as well as specialty markets such as 4-wheel off-road, sport-utility, heavy-duty towing and turbo diesel, marine and motorcycles. New products are being produced in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Stewart Warner is perhaps the most recognizable name in vehicle instruments with a long history of innovative products dating back to 1905. In fact, Stewart Warner dominated the performance market for many years. Oddie Leopando, president of Maxima Technologies, explains that, "Maxima acquired Stewart Warner in 1998 and since that time we have sought to make fundamental improvements in the business and integrate best-practices such as Six-Sigma quality. Now that the integration is completed, it is appropriate for us to resume our focus on making Stewart Warner the preeminent brand in our core markets, especially for the performance market. We felt that by introducing a totally new line of high-performance instruments, using all our engineering and technical know-how coupled with important customer feedback, we could not only satisfy the rigorous demands of racing but also deliver a host of new product innovations and features that would really appeal to the marketplace.
The "Maximum Performance Series" includes 2" and 2-5/8" gauges, 3-3/8" programmable speedometers, 3-3/8" and 5" diameter memory tachs with shift lights, stand-alone shift lights, warning lights, sending units, gauge pods, accessories and apparel. Features include rugged movements for electrical and mechanical gauges; advanced SMT electronics for tachs, speedos, and shift/warning lights; all-new super-tough, engineered-resin cases; specially designed inner and outer bezels that ensure sealing integrity and flexibility; robust, styled, balanced, three-dimensional racing-red pointers; a unique "face-forward" design that optimizes dial viewing area and angles; silver, white and black graphics, with vertical and horizontal formats for tachs; and advanced lighting techniques that ensure great visibility, especially for night-time racing or driving.

Alemite Welding Reel

The new line of Welding Reels from Alemite are specially designed for applications in shops where oxygen-acetylene is used for welding or cutting. The new reels are available in heavy duty and severe duty models. Heavy duty welding reels are ideal for use inside manufacturing facilities, machine shops and automotive repair garages. Severe duty welding reels feature gasket seals and plated ball bearings so they can be mounted to mobile equipment for use in outdoor welding applications.
Alemite's new welding reels have all the features of our successful 7330 series, including anti-lockout ratchets, power spring cassettes and a metal arbor. The anti-lock ratchets prevent lock-up when hose is fully extended, eliminating the need to manually release the pawl at the reel. The factory-lubricated one-piece power spring cassette design makes servicing the reels safer and easier. Unlike competitive models, these reels also feature ball bearings for smooth retraction. All these features make the Alemite welding reel one of the safest and most durable on the market today.

High Capacity Double Post Reel

Alemite is proud to introduce their new High Capacity Double Post Reel. This reel is rugged enough to handle up to 50 feet of 1" diameter hose and provides high flow dispensing, evacuation and transfer of fuel, oil, grease and water in even the most severe conditions.
Designed to resist the efforts of corrosion, the new High Capacity Double Post Reel features a sealed spring cassette that keeps dirt and water out of the power spring and eliminates the possibility of spring-binding. Sealed and plated bearings on themain shaft virtually eliminate binding of the shaft rotation. Finally, Alemite added sealed hose guide rollers to keep contamination out and prevent the hose guide rollers from binding as well. All of these features will bring you years of hassle-free service.
With an outlet port swivel nut on Alemite's new reel, installation of the material hose is easier and more convenient than with competitive designs. A large, four corner bolt hole pattern on the outside of the base makes installation easier and provides greater stability. Alemite's High Capacity Double Post Reel is also the narrowest on the market, allowing for more reels to be mounted along a truck bed in lube truck applications. This is another example of the way Alemite's products are designed with their customers' Applications in mind
Finally, the Alemite reel comes with a fully adjustable, double mounted hose guide arm. This provides flexible mounting to floors, ceilings or walls and adds support for pulling or retacting the material hose.
