12/23/10 - SKF’s acquisition of Lincoln Holdings Enterprises (encompassing Lincoln, Alemite, Reelcraft, and Stewart Warner Canada) has now been approved. The company will be part of a newly created business unit for lubrication systems within SKF’s Industrial Division.
We are very excited to welcome Lincoln Industrial to SKF. This acquisition is in line with our strategy to grow in the lubrication systems market, and Lincoln Industrial complements SKF’s existing lubrication systems business in a very good way. With this acquisition we broaden our competencies within this area and we will be able to support our customers with even better solutions, says Tom Johnstone, SKF President and CEO.
10/19/10 - On 19 October 2010, SKF Group announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase Lincoln Holdings Enterprises, Inc., the holding company encompassing Lincoln, Alemite, and Reelcraft. The purchase is contingent upon regulatory approvals in the United States and Europe.
SKF, founded in 1907, is a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm stock exchange, with headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, and operations throughout the world. SKF is a leading global supplier of products, solutions, and services within the roller bearings, seals, mechatronics, services, and lubrication systems technology platforms. The acquisition of Lincoln Holdings Enterprises, Inc. will create a new, freestanding business unit within SKF's Industrial Division.
After the sale and purchase transaction is complete, customers should anticipate no changes in Lincoln's, Alemite's, or Reelcraft's brand identities, sales organizations, distribution networks, or product offerings. The global management team will remain in place, and the sales, customer service, and technical teams that serve customers will also remain the same. This is a stock transaction; thus all existing agreements and contracts remain in effect. It is business as usual.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to working with you to better serve your needs and grow our mutual businesses.
